Saad al-Din al-Othmani, the Prime Minister, said that the easing of "quarantine" measures in Morocco will be based on 4 principles, the first of which is gradualism, by adopting mitigation measures through stages accompanied by measures to keep pace with the evolution of the epidemiological situation.
Al-Othmani added, in an interview with the Arabi Post, that the second of these principles depends on the geographical and local dimension, to take into account the difference in the epidemiological situation between the regions and the workers.
The third principle of "quarantine" mitigation, according to the prime minister, is based on flexibility and the ability to review, by subjecting measures to reduce quarantine or lift it to continuous monitoring.
The spokesman stressed that when new hotspots emerge, or an increase in the number of cases, some of them can be stopped at the level of affected provinces and workers, to avoid the escalation of the virus and a return to more stringent measures.
As for the fourth principle, the Ottoman adds, it manifests itself in positive discrimination, by providing greater protection to health-fragile groups, such as the elderly over the age of 65, and people with chronic diseases.
The Prime Minister indicated, within the same dialogue, that quarantine mitigation is based on epidemiological, logistical and administrative conditions, the most prominent of which is the development of the country's ability to provide sufficient medical tests or analyzes for those suffering from symptoms of "Covid 19" so that new cases are discovered faster and tracked Mixing them in a more effective way.
In this context, Al-Othmani added, the government's work is expanding the capacity of the health system to carry out the tests for Covid 19, which we have reached today through about 13 thousand tests per day.
The spokesman considered that the next stage requires continued adherence to and implementation of precautionary measures, personal and professional, but a number of measures of a general nature will have to be accompanied, such as the maintenance of preventive measures, especially social divergence, personal hygiene procedures, regular cleansing of frequently used tools and spaces, and commitment to wear Gags in public space, and perhaps we should coexist with this situation for a short time.
As for the resumption of any economic or commercial activity, the Prime Minister has confirmed that he is subject to adherence to precautionary and healthy procedures that take into account the specificity of this activity, and the government sectors have developed dozens of reference guides that clarify and detail these procedures for commercial and economic activities that fall within its competencies in coordination with Ministry of Health.
