Previous Notre Dame wide recipient Chase Claypool has been drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 49th pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Claypool got 13 touchdowns notwithstanding 1,037 accepting yards in his
senior season.
Claypool posted a 40-yard run time of 4.42 at the NFL Combine. Just two
recipients over the most recent 17 years to gauge 6-4 and weigh 235 pounds or
more to have run that quick was Claypool and previous Detroit Lions star Calvin
Johnson.
He joins Cole Kmet as the initial two previous Irish players drafted
into the 2020 NFL Draft.
