Foods in Islam
The food that a person eats is reflected in his morals and behaviors, and for this reason God Almighty urged in many Quranic verses to eat good food, including God Almighty’s saying:
(يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوا مِمَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا)،[١] كما قال أيضاً: (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِلَّـهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ)
Meaning of this verse: (O people, eat good food on the earth for good), [1] He also said: (O you who believe! Eat from the goodness of what we give to you)
And other Qur’anic verses in which food is mentioned in the form of singular and plural, and it is worth noting that the origin of foods is halal, unless there is evidence that prohibits a specific type, and in that the Sheikh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: (The basic principle is that the solution to a Muslim has done a good deed, because God Almighty Rather, it is best for those who seek help from them to obey Him, not to disobey Him, and he added: (That is why it is not permissible to use permissible acts of disobedience, such as someone who gives meat and bread to someone who drinks alcohol, and seeks help from immorality), meaning that God - the Almighty - It is permissible for His good servants to eat so that they can benefit from them, just as it is not permissible for anyone to prohibit what God Almighty does not, or the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, forbids, and what is forbidden is forbidden.
The rule of pork
God Almighty has enacted many laws and provisions to preserve the interests of the servants in this world and the hereafter, and to preserve the five interests related to religion, soul, mind, supply and money. That food and drink that a person eats, so all that is good from drink and food is permissible, but the wicked is forbidden, and in the temptation to be good and alienated from the evil, God Almighty said:
(حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَنْ تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ)
Meaning of this verse:Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
As God Almighty said
(قُلْ لَا أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَىٰ طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ)
Meaning of this verse:Say: "I find not in the message received by me by inspiration any (meat) forbidden to be eaten by one who wishes to eat it, unless it be dead meat, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine,- for it is an abomination - or, what is impious, (meat) on which a name has been invoked, other than Allah's". But (even so), if a person is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, nor transgressing due limits,- thy Lord is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
The ban on pork has been categorically mentioned in all previous verses, that is, God Almighty did not gradually deprive the pork because it prohibits wine, which indicates the severity of the harm and the size that the pig causes to be eaten by humans, and it was mentioned in the previous verses that pork is an abomination, and abomination as it is Indicating turquoise abadi is the dirty thing, and he said that this is too oval, and the pig was called an abomination because he was taking unclean things.
The wisdom of prohibiting pork
The pig causes many diseases and bad behaviors. The pig's blood contains many epidemics, diseases and worms, such as: flatworm, tapeworm, cylindrical worm, and spiny worm. The pig also causes many bad habits and behaviors, such as: insensitivity, and lack of jealousy on the female The pig is the only animal that is not jealous for its female, and among the germs found in the pig is the Yarsena germ, and it only exists in the pig, and it lives in a very low temperature, and it should be noted that the pig is forbidden by the Jews, as it is forbidden in several Christian denominations. And, due to the many risks caused by the pig, and diseases related to pig and widespread so-called swine flu.
Among the diseases caused by pork; The mad cow disease called prions, and it also causes the transmission of many viruses to the human body, including: influenza virus, Nipa virus, severe acute respiratory syndrome called SARS virus, foot and mouth disease, rabies virus, Japanese encephalitis virus, and fever virus Ross River, ulcerative boar virus, oral ulceration virus, encephalitis and heart virus, smallpox virus and yellow fever virus. The pig also causes the transmission of a large number of bacteria to humans, including: Maltese fever bacteria, salmonella bacteria, leptospirosis, and anthrax bacteria, And colon bacteria, and Yersinia bacteria, Clostridium bacteria, skin ulcers bacteria, skin reddish bacteria, pulmonary tuberculosis bacteria, pulmonary poisoning bacteria, bloody poisoning bacteria, and the pig also contains many harmful chemical compounds that are inconsistent with and are not compatible with the compounds of the human body, which is what It causes many diseases in humans.
